Foxconn North American Factories Hit in Nitrogen Cyberattack; 8TB Alleged Stolen

Foxconn confirmed that some of its North American factories suffered a cyberattack and are resuming normal production after activating response measures. The Nitrogen ransomware group claimed to have stolen about 8 TB of data (11 million files), including schematics for customers such as Apple, Intel, Google, Nvidia, AMD, and Dell, and posted screenshots on its leak site. Researchers describe Nitrogen as a double-extortion ransomware operation active since late 2023/2024.
