A cyberattack on BAE Systems has taken the Bankruptcy Noticing Center offline, stopping production and transmission of bankruptcy notices for federal courts nationwide. The Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts said it is coordinating with BAE while the company investigates and works to restore service.
The outage hits the system that produces and sends notices for every federal bankruptcy court, and it also took down related sites and the National Creditor Registration Service. In plain terms, the notice pipeline itself is unavailable, so the interruption is not just a website problem but a court-process stoppage.
For courts and contractors that depend on one centralized notice service, the exposure is now the shared workflow BNC supports: until it returns, notices, creditor registration, and court communications tied to bankruptcy cases all stall together. The reporting does not say whether data was taken.
