Wiz launched Scan for Good and says its AI-assisted scans have already found about 475 critical or high-severity exposures in critical infrastructure and public services, including rail, hospitals, government, and other sectors. The company says it worked with Google DeepMind and CISA on the initiative.
The scans look across public websites, APIs, and applications for risky combinations of settings, identities, permissions, and access paths, not just code bugs. That matters because the danger can sit in how systems are connected and exposed, so a normal review can miss something that is reachable and dangerous even when no single flaw looks severe on its own.
The shift is who finds these issues first: in under-resourced environments, outside defenders can now surface and pressure fixes before criminals do. For any internet-facing service, the exposure class is the same whether it lives in transport, healthcare, government, or a cloud-backed public service.
