Texas Launches Watershed 250 for Water Cyber Support
Texas launched Watershed 250, a six-month pilot that pairs federal and state agencies with private cyber and AI firms to support water and wastewater utilities. The program is aimed at small and rural providers that have been hit by recent attacks and do not have the staff or tooling to defend themselves alone.
Instead of leaving each utility to build its own defenses, the pilot brings in outside teams to red-team systems, harden them, and apply monitoring and AI tools.
