The U.S. Justice Department with German and Canadian partners disrupted command-and-control infrastructure for four large IoT botnets. Aisuru, Kimwolf, JackSkid and Mossad had compromised over three million devices and issued hundreds of thousands of DDoS commands, including record-size attacks and strikes against DoD IPs. Authorities seized domains and virtual servers; investigations continue and no U.S. arrests were announced.

The Justice Department said on Thursday evening that the Aisuru, KimWolf, JackSkid and Mossad botnets were used to target victims with distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks that overloaded websites and made them unreachable.
