Il punto non è solo che gli stati ostili pesano per gran parte degli attacchi alla CNI britannica. Il cambio vero è il nuovo perimetro: il NCSC separa il problema in spazi far, mid e near, e sposta l’attenzione su ambienti condivisi dove un compromesso può propagarsi tra servizi, fornitori e siti diversi invece di restare confinato a un singolo asset.
Nel periodo giugno 2025-maggio 2026 l’NCSC ha gestito 200 incidenti sulla critical national infrastructure, e circa il 75% è stato attribuito a attori statali o a stati ostili come Russia, Cina e Iran. La parte più operativa del messaggio riguarda il mid space, dove cloud e open-source supply chain diventano moltiplicatori di impatto, e il near space, cioè i sistemi delle organizzazioni target, con forte enfasi sui settori OT-heavy come manufacturing ed energy.
Per chi gestisce infrastrutture cloud-heavy o dipendenti da fornitori, la lettura da fare è che la difesa più esposta non è sempre il perimetro aziendale, ma l’ambiente condiviso su cui si appoggia la flotta tecnica. Questo frame rende la CNI meno un elenco di incidenti e più una competizione continua su dove si concentra la capacità di scalare il danno.
