Nel Microsoft Digital Defense Report 2026, Microsoft dice che AI non è solo un nuovo bersaglio: sta accorciando il tempo tra scoperta, sfruttamento e contenimento da giorni a minuti. Il punto pratico è la perdita di margine per vedere un attacco arrivare, capirlo e fermarlo.
Secondo il report, AI aiuta a trovare bug, personalizzare phishing, generare malware e accelerare credenziali rubate e movimenti laterali. Il risultato è un bacino crescente di vulnerabilità note ma ancora senza patch, insieme a intrusioni che si muovono più in fretta dei flussi umani di validazione e rilascio.
Per i team che governano identità, dati e agenti AI, la lettura è che il rischio si sposta dal singolo exploit alla velocità complessiva dell’attacco. Se il compromesso di un agente eredita fiducia e accesso, la superficie da difendere diventa il piano identità-dati, non solo il perimetro applicativo.
