CareCloud ha comunicato alla SEC che un'intrusione del 16 marzo ha consentito a un hacker l'accesso temporaneo a uno dei suoi sei ambienti EHR. L'ambiente interessato è stato offline per circa otto ore ed è stato successivamente ripristinato. L'azienda ha avviato un'indagine forense e il 24 marzo ha concluso che l'incidente era materiale perché la sensibilità dei dati dei pazienti potrebbe comportare conseguenze di remediation, legali, di notifica e reputazionali. CareCloud fornisce servizi a oltre 45.000 provider e sta ancora valutando se informazioni sui pazienti siano state accessate o esfiltrate.
