Hitachi Energy corregge falle che esporrebbero RTU e directory

CISA avvisa che Hitachi Energy RTU500 e Relion REB500 hanno più falle che possono esporre informazioni di gestione utenti, causare outage del dispositivo o consentire la modifica di directory non autorizzate. Le versioni colpite includono RTU500 series CMU Firmware fino a 12.7.7, 13.5.4, 13.6.2, 13.7.7 e 13.8.1, e REB500 fino a 8.3.3.0.

Su RTU500, un utente non privilegiato può leggere dati di user management; l’implementazione IEC 60870-5-104 può andare in denial of service su frame U non validi; su REB500, utenti autenticati con ruoli Installer o a basso privilegio possono accedere e alterare contenuti di directory. Hitachi Energy indica come fix RTU500 CMU Firmware 12.7.8, 13.7.8 o 13.8.2, e REB500 8.3.3.1.

Per gli ambienti OT, il punto non è solo la patch. Se i RTU sono esposti a reti business o il ruolo Installer resta attivo, l’esposizione rimane più ampia del singolo bug corretto.
