La svolta non è un nuovo controllo tecnico. È il tentativo coordinato di rendere modelli open-weight e agent tooling la scelta normale per il lavoro di sicurezza, così da non dipendere da API chiuse quando serve ispezionare log, tracciare azioni o fare analisi forense. Il punto vero è che la difesa viene spinta verso software che si può eseguire, verificare e adattare in locale.
La pressione è arrivata su due piani insieme: una lettera aperta firmata da 50 aziende chiede di non frenare gli open weight, e l’Open Secure AI Alliance mette in mano ai difensori strumenti concreti come NOOA, Safetensors, Lightwell e SPIFFE/SPIRE. NVIDIA, Microsoft, IBM, Hugging Face, HPE e altri stanno trattando apertura, tracciabilità e identità crittografica come mattoni operativi, non come principi astratti.
Per i team che valutano copilot, agenti e workflow AI su log, codice e dati di incidente, il cambio è di baseline: l’aspettativa non è più un servizio opaco gestito dal vendor, ma uno stack che si può auditare e tenere sotto controllo in casa. Questo non cambia la detection di ogni giorno, ma sposta procurement, governance e risposta agli incidenti verso requisiti di autonomia locale.
