Il Dipartimento di Giustizia USA, con partner canadesi e tedeschi, ha sequestrato l'infrastruttura command-and-control di quattro botnet IoT. Le botnet Aisuru, Kimwolf, JackSkid e Mossad controllavano oltre 3 milioni di dispositivi e hanno lanciato DDoS record e campagne di estorsione, inclusi attacchi contro indirizzi del Department of Defense. Server e domini sono stati messi offline; le indagini continuano e non sono stati annunciati arresti USA.
US seizes domains and infrastructure used in sprawling botnet campaigns
The Justice Department said on Thursday evening that the Aisuru, KimWolf, JackSkid and Mossad botnets were used to target victims with distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks that overloaded websites and made them unreachable.
